Abstract

The implementation of demonstration methods in productive learning is very influential on the level of student learning success in SMK. The results of observation indicated that many student learning outcomes of SMK were below average. This was caused by teachers who did not apply the demonstration method in the lesson, so it affect their learning ability. This study aims to determine the level of students learning success at class X SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Banda Aceh by applying the methods of demonstration on Basic Electronics subjects. This research is a quantitative research using pre- experiment design method: one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected through pretest, posttest and questionnaires. Then the data was processed by using t-test. The results of the study revealed that there are differences in learning outcomes of students of class X SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Banda Aceh between after and before applied methods of demonstration. This can be seen from the average score of student achievement achieved on pretest < posttest (74.5 < 80.5). After analyzed by using the t- test formula obtained t-count = 1.96. While t-table obtained by using dk = n-1, dk = 10-1 = 9 at a significant level of 5%, ie 0.251. Base on the initial hypothesis of this study, it indicated that, if tcount > ttable (1,96> 0,521), Ha is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that the implementation of demonstration methods can improve student learning outcomes of class X SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

Accidents that often occur on the road are partly due to road crossers who do not pay attention to vehicles or users of vehicles that are crossing. For that we need a tool that can give a warning to motorists facing the crossing. By using this PIR sensor, if there is a human movement that passes through the PIR sensor, the sensor will detect the human presence. The PIR sensor will be connected to the microcontroller. In this study using Arduino Uno which is a microcontroller and PIR sensor as a sensor that detects the presence of objects both human and vehicle so that it can be used as a driver warning device against road crossers. From the results of the test shows the test results, the sensor can detect the presence of human movement with the maximum distance between the PIR sensor and the object which is ± 5 meters. When it detects human presence, the LED indicator will light up, followed by a buzzer notification.

Abstract

To facilitate the parking of the car to be efficient parking equipment was needed by using the distance with objects. In this research, the development of prototype of car parking guide by displaying information by using centimeter or meter unit and using sound output to facilitate the user in parking their vehicle. From the analysis and testing of prototype car park guides with human voice output indicates that this prototype can give good results. Ultrasonic sensor SRF05 can work well but in the sensor distance of more than 3 meters cannot send data

Abstract

In designing and making an automatic roof tool that serves to help humans in terms of drying clothes, when exposed to rain then automatically the roof will be closed by itself because this tool uses raindrop sensor, and in cloudy / dark weather conditions the roof will be automatically closed, while at the time bright roof is open by itself, because it uses LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) sensors that can read the intensity of light. In order for the roof to open and close automatically this tool uses a rotating servo 180 degrees. This tool also uses a temperature sensor to determine the condition of the room during rain, cloudy, and bright. How this tool works when the weather conditions outside the bright LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) will read the intensity of light received and has been entered, then the servo will open the roof 180 degrees, and at that time the clothes are being sun-dried can be exposed to the sun, then otherwise if the outside conditions are overcast / dark servo will close the roof 0 degrees. And if the rain is outside raindrop sensor conditions will read the raindrop rain drops and then servo will close the roof 0 degrees so that clothes are dried sdang not be exposed to rain, so we no longer need to back and forth warmed and drying back clothes.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in subjects Simple home electric lighting installation techniques, this is because the learning process is still teacher-centered. This study aims to reveal differences in student learning outcomes between jigsaw cooperative learning models with conventional models in subjects of simple home electric lighting installation techniques at SMK 1 Darul Kamal and to improve student learning outcomes. The research method used was Pre-Experiment with the research subjects of the 11th grade students of TITL SMKN 1 Darul Kamal consisting of 1 class, students were divided into 2 groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. From the results of data analysis based on the results of the t-test shows that Ho is rejected based on the significance value <α = 5% or 0.05, in the column t-test for equality of means we see in the column "sig. 2 tailed "with Equal variances assumed, the variance similarity test was obtained that both control and experimental groups had the same variant. Value "sig. 2 tailed "that is: 0.00 then it can be decided that Ho is rejected because the sig value is 0.00 <α = 0.05, so it can be concluded at the significance level (α) = 5% the control group and the experimental group do not have the same average value. So that the truth is that there are significant differences in student learning outcomes of the experimental group using the Jigsaw cooperative learning model compared to the control group students who did not use the jigsaw cooperative learning model.

Abstract

In designing a system in facilitating the work in operating the door bar and the lights of the railroad tracks that sometimes require quite a lot of employees because this kind of problem often occurs because of negligence in operating a lot of accidents that occur in the railroad crossing. For this reason, the researchers designed a miniature intelligent railroad system that is expected to help streamline the operation of the doorstop and turn on the lights off the hallway automatically. The way this tool works is by utilizing the arduino microcontroller, the Infra Red sensor and the Ultrasonic sensor as the data input provider and the prototypes working method. The Infra Red 1 sensor will provide input when the train passes and the crossing bar will close, the Infra Red 2 sensor will open the crossbar the crossing door when the train has passed the crossing of the crossing door and gives a welcome message on the LCD, when the train enters the hallway the Ultrasonic sensor will turn on, control the led to adjust the net of the train that goes through the work process over and over.

Abstract

The existence of digital technology should be able to provide a positive and productive impact, rather than the passive and negative one. Technology is enabler that facilitates ubiquitous all human activities both for personal gains and for the public and professional interests. This study aims to develop the DeanLEP application of the Faculty of Science and Technology of UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. DeanLEP is an acronym for Dean Live Event Page Application that is used to assist the dean in monitoring all daily activities and performance in the faculty. Dean LEP Application contains information about the number of lecturers who teach in the current semester and academic year; recapitulation of active students, on leave students and alumni; lecturers research, lecturers ranks, employee permits and leave, study center, lecturers with additional assignments, guest lecturers and guest lectures, womens activities, and cooperatives. In addition to dynamic information updated at any time, Dean LEP Application also provides static information such as information on leaders, lecturers, staff, and contract workers of the faculty.

Abstract

The grid computation was developed by using fedora 14 operating system and globus toolkit software, NTP and certificate authority to built a grid system as well as MPICH-G2 as a reference to run parallel program. It was examined with matrix multiplication and was compared with single computation system based on processing time. This research employed 2 units of personal computer which earned a faster processing time than the single system, if only the program is divided into three process/jobs or more. If there was only 1 or 2 jobs, the process will not run faster than single computation. It can be concluded that the grid system will perform better if there are more nodes and core processor in each node and also balanced with the amount of the process/job.
